Consciousness Hacking anyone? Matching Wisdom with Technology with Joshua Fields

https://www.virtual-awakening.com/

Hey London Consciousness Hackers…what’s hacking your consciousness right now? Who is choosing? What are we doing (and why?)?  These and other important explorations to be aired at the Consciousness Hacking London launch event October 2nd at 93 Feet East (with support from The Experimental Thought Company at The Truman Brewery).

You can also find info about this event on the FB page or sign up to the Meetup Group.

Consciousness Hacking is a non-profit organization based in San Francisco. It is also a growing global community with meet ups in over 50 cities focused around the intersection of modern technologies, ancient wisdom and human flourishing.  Now it’s time for London to get into the conversation and MCoE is thrilled to be part of the launch of the London Cohack chapter. We intend to share experiences with tech and embodiment, mindful 360 design processes and perspectives that span the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model.

Joshua Fields the executive director of the Consciousness Hacking and will be here especially for this event. He will be speaking for about 30 minutes on wisdom technology – the latest innovations in the consciousness hacking space, the paradigm shift required, and a deeper exploration of the thinking and consciousness that we are building our tools from.

Date: Wednesday October 2nd 2019

Time: 7pm to 9pm

Venue: 93 Feet East, 150 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL.

As a group we will be taking a deeper look into the Consciousness Hacking mission – why is this movement especially important in these times? (Spoiler: Joshua is not your average Silicon Valley techno-optimist, but a deep thinker on how to steward humanity towards greater flourishing, away from the trouble our earlier inventions have gotten us into).

His driving inquiry is how can we match the exponential power our technology has with higher levels of human wisdom?

We’ll be engaging in some collective sensemaking with your fellow CoHackers around some of the pressing issues technology and Joshua confronts us with.

Next to Joshua’s talk, the CoHack London team will introduce themselves and share their vision for the London Consciousness Hacking community as well as listen to what you want to see happen in this space.

A longer talk of Joshua can be found here – https://youtu.be/OAQnjrWwmzs

Josh also has a number of great podcasts on his personal site.

CoHack Vision Statement (but you can also read a bit more here)

“We envision a world where wisdom and modern technology are in harmony, and where the most potent yet historically separate domains of transformation, such as psychedelics and meditation, or technology and spirituality, synergize to best support human flourishing. Through innovation and cross-pollination, we see a world where the power of modern science and technology gives rise to the scaling, accessibility and personalization of healing and transformation.
