As part of the mission to provide reliable, up-to-date and authentic information about mindfulness, our Director, Dr. Tamara Russell frequently gives talks and lectures world-wide on the topic of mindfulness. These presentations range from a group of 5 to a auditorium of 3000, talks at academic, corporate, health and education settings and conferences.

Here Dr Tamara Russell conducted a mindful movement exercise class and then described in more detail what is happening in the brain when we move and how we can attend to all the different aspects of the movement with mindfulness. We practiced attending to the intention to move, the execution of movement and then the sensory consequences of the movement under different conditions.
Insight Meditation Society – Practitioners Group Meeting – Feb 2014
The Insight Meditation Society has a Practitioners Group who meet weekly in Swiss Cottage. This group consists of those who have a personal meditation practice and who are also using it in their work, as psychologists, osteopaths, youth workers, body workers etc. In this talk, Dr Tamara Russell was describing how a more detailed attention to the moving body can be part of the practices that are offered. This included completing a mindful movement exercise, some inquiry into the practice and then some neuroscience teaching about how the body is represented in the brain.
Porte Allegre Federal University of Rio Grande du Sol, Psychology Department Annual Seminar (August 2013)
Here students were invited to do a meditation practice in the middle of the lecture. This was the opening Department Seminar for the school year (Professor William Gomes is the Head of the Department)
