Join Dr Tamara Russell as she leads a tai chi safari from the Dragon Café (Borough) around the local area. Suitable for all levels, walking speed will be slow/moderate and there will be several stops. You can join in for as much as you can manage.
Starting at the Dragon Café at 12.30 for a gentle warm up of all the major joints. Then walking to the Guy’s Quad practicing a “may you be well” walk and heart opening practices in the quad.
Then onto the mean streets of Borough, with a practice to develop intention, alertness and relaxation. This part of the Safari will help you to walk like a martial artist through the urban environment. Check out these wise words from Bruce Lee.
Moving onto Red Cross gardens to find a small piece of tranquillity even in the busy city and then back to the Dragon for tea, lunch or a snack.
This safari will show you that every movement can be mindful and how you can develop Mindfulness in Motion.
